Kindness

the girl in the high heel boots
wishes she could pull something out of me
that would make her feel better
something with a life of its own
something magical
something that might even bite her
before disappearing into her audience
but this hat drooled by any rain
hemmed by cough and smoke
hods only the emptiness of my life
realizing my face , no slight of hand
she reaches from her pocket
drops something useful so that i can pretend i found it.

Thanks for sharing, PD. Right now, I am in the throes of preparing my youngters’ final exams and correcting their final papers, but at times I get drawn by the boob tube and follow El Trumpo’s trip through Korea (yesterday) and China (today). Can’t wait till he gets to trod on Philippine shores. No signs of debacle after the gobernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia, which his party lost. No, he will not accept defeat, not in his jaded perception of things. Anyhow, young man, thanks again for sharing “…from the Magician’s Hat.” e/s

thanks for taking the time to read. best of luck to the young ones with the eams and the rest of the world. my daughter will be having big exams next year. they wil determine the points each student gets and based on the points you get then you can apply to certain univerities. not like the state its 12 years and then one exam per subject, no averaging. kinda cruel. anyway she is teaching herself japanese and got the school to let it be an exam subject fr her. til next time our best to you and to mr scott
